Issue:

 

Image quality is not satisfactory

 

 

 

Solution:

 

  • The Printer driver is using a print optimization feature.

To disable Print Optimization:

 

1. On the relevant PC go to Printers and Faxes

2. Right click on the relevant printer

3. Select Properties

4. Select device settings or under the advanced options (This property page will be nested under different tabs and button for different drivers)

5. Select Print Optimizations and Disable this option, click OK

 

 

 

  • Change Image Setting to 'Low Saving'.
    1. In the PretonControl Printer section find the relevant driver and change the Image Setting to 'Low Saving'
    2. Save the new setting in the PretonControl.
    3. On the client machine use the try icon 'Update Policy' option to pull the new settings (if the try icon is not available the new settings will only take effect after the next print job).
    4. Check the Print quality.

     

  • Change Image Mode to 'Detailed'.

    1. In the PretonControl Printer section find the relevant driver and change the Image Mode to 'Detailed'
    2. Save the new setting in the PretonControl.
    3. On the client machine use the try icon 'Update Policy' option to pull the new settings (if the try icon is not available the new settings will only take effect after the next print job).
    4. Check the Print quality.


     

  • Change Image Setting to 'No Saving'.
    If all else fails change the Image Setting to 'No Saving' to disable processing for image.
